Saving your Document
As a default Notepad saves as the extension .txt but obviously we don't want the document saved like that. You're first page should always be titled index. And when doing HTML there are many ways to save the document and have it show up.
valid extensions include .html .htm .php .asp but for our puporses for now we're going to use .html
Click File, Save As and save the document as "index.html" Now when you look inside the folder you saved it in you'll see a little file called index.html you can open it and it'll open in your default browser, you can now see what you're doing. ^_^ Congrats we're well underway, lets add content!
